It's not often I spend time on the various intactivist sites and forums online, but when I do I consistently see the same pattern: people that approach this issue from the idea that mal genital mutilation is an attack on bodily autonomy. No, the "procedure" itself is the issue, not that our bodily autonomy and the "choice" was "taken" from us.
I saw a post on Reddit today that was a MGM rant, and in it, the OP said something along the lines of, "they mutilated me without my consent". Do you people even think about what you are about to say before you speak? By the OPs logic, it would not have been mutilation had he been able to consent. Wrong, MGM is mutilation across the board and the we have to stop spewing this "they took my choice" and "my bodily autonomy was taken" bullshit because it's retarded.
Why are we afraid to call this out for what it is: people wanting to control male sexuality and create a slave society. There is no "choice" to be made in genital mutilation and the adults that elect to have it done to them need to have their brains studied for centuries to ensure this practice never sees the light of day again
