Masturbation with a circumcised penis

Doctors in the nineteenth century believed that masturbation would cause one to think impure thoughts, and furthermore, thinking impure thought would cause mental disease. They believed that amputation of the foreskin would prevent masturbation and prevent various mental diseases.

E.J. Spratling (1895) is typical. He gave specific instructions on how to do a circumcision to prevent masturbation:

To obtain the best results one must cut away enough skin and mucous membrane to rather put it on the stretch when erections come later. There must be no play in the skin after the wound has thoroughly healed, but it must fit tightly over the penis, for should there be any play the patient will be found to readily resume his practice, not begrudging the time and extra energy required to produce the orgasm. It is true, however, that the longer it takes to have an orgasm, the less frequently it will be attempted, consequently the greater the benefit gained...

This guidance is still followed today by surgeons.

Men with a tight-cut circumcision and no gliding action may have great difficulty in achieving orgasm while circumcised men with a looser cut may be able to achieve orgasm because they have some gliding action.

Circumcised men must recognize that they are intentionally handicapped by the loss of the foreskin to circumcision.

Circumcised men have discovered that the use of lubrication serves as a crutch for men whose foreskin has been stolen. Lubrication may be provided by a wide variety of substances, including saliva, soapy water, vegetable oils, and commercially available personal lubricants.

Kim & Pang (2006) reported a "decrease in masturbatory enjoyment and sexual pleasure after circumcision, indicating that adult circumcision adversely affects sexual function in many men, possibly because of complications of the surgery and a loss of nerve endings."

Yep circumcision was created to control male sexuality - thats not news to anyone
