I wasn't aware of Prof. Adler, but hopefully his being Jewish (presuming so from his surname) might help stave off the usual disingenous charges of "antisemitism" that seem to be trotted out so often, whenever this issue is raised as a matter of public policy.
My understanding is that Professor Adler was born in the United Kingdom to Jewish parents, but is now an American citizen. I don't know his present religious views.
