The Joy of Uncircumcising!

     

     The Joy of Uncircumcising! is the title of a very fine book by the late Jim Bigelow, Ph.D., a psychologist, regarding circumcision, foreskin restoration, psychological issues, and much more. The book was published in 1992. There were two editions and, unfortunately, it then went out of print.

     

     NOCIRC discussed the book in their annual newsletter for 1992.

          

     Chapter 10 is entitled Psychological Factors Related to Infant Circumcision. It starts on page 89 and runs through page 112, so the discussion is very extensive indeed. I would recommend it to anyone dealing with psychological issues of circumcision.

     

     Amazon is offering used copies for sale.  The National Organization of Restoring Men is offering a PDF file of the book that may be downloaded after a payment of $10.00.

     

     In my opinion, even though this book was written in 1992, it still seems up-to-date. I recommend it to any circumcised man who is struggling with circumcision issues.
